With the launch of the new price guide, we revamped our shipping rates to include the new Prints & Canvas products.  This necessitated the creation of some new rules around the way shipping is calculated & charged.  We also made a revision to just 2 tiers of levels for all geographical areas and product categories.

These changes were necessary to reflect the new product production methods and timelines as well as shipping requirements of the different products. While we held album rates over, our new print & canvas rates reflect some increased shipping costs from our carriers.

The first change you’ll note is that we’ve broken the guide into product categories (e.g. albums, prints, canvas, etc.) and then inside some product categories, there is a further size category breakdown (e.g. Prints – large or Prints – Small).  This was the easiest and clearest way we could reflect the different costs associated with packaging & shipping our different products.

The following is a quick explanation of the new shipping rules that apply moving forward:

  1. First we’ll answer a LOT of questions: Album shipping rates are the same.  But we have reduced to just 2 options: Standard or Rush.  Rush in Canada is a guaranteed 2-day option by Canada Post.
  2. When shipping a combination of Product Categories, one shipping charge per category will apply (i.e. if you order an album & large prints – there will be a shipping charge for each as they will be packaged and shipped separately).
  3. When shipping a combination of Size Categories within a single Product Category, the larger size rate will apply (e.g. if you ordered a small & large canvas in the same order, you would pay the large canvas shipping rate.
  4. Local Pick Up is available to metro Vancouver addresses only.
  5. There are some areas that we do not ship to for certain product categories, these are indicated on the new price guide.  They will also not give you an option to ship in the shopping cart.

Please note: you must be a professional photographer, photography student in a recognized photography program or album reseller with an approved lifethreads studio account to have access to any lifethreads album pricing.

To access pricing, please login to your lifethreads studio account, go to DASHBOARD in the main menu and then click on blue download unde the Current Price Guide isn’t he bottom right area of your DB.
